Notice

Word list: ENABLE2K (Enhanced North American Benchmark Lexicon), compiled by Alan Beale and M\Cooper and released into the public domain. KitPie Words removes a small number of offensive words for display. A small number of trademark terms are also omitted. KitPie Words shows no definitions. KitPie Words is not affiliated with any game publisher or dictionary publisher.

The list

• Compiled by Alan Beale and M\Cooper and released by them into the public domain. We credit them as the originators of the list, as they ask.

Method

Every import checks the SHA-256 of the pinned file and stops if it does not match. It then decompresses the file, applies the display filters below without changing the original, and loads the result into our database in one step. Every list, grouping and count on this site is computed from that table. No other word source is used, and no definitions are shown.

Display filters

• A small number of trademark terms, removed by exact word only: 4 words.
• Offensive terms, from an exact-match blocklist we wrote ourselves: 80 words.

After filtering, KitPie Words uses 173,444 words. List imported on 2026-11-04.

Limits

The list leans towards American English spelling, includes many rare and technical words, and leaves out proper nouns, abbreviations and words with capitals, hyphens or apostrophes. It has no definitions and no part-of-speech data, so a word on a list here is a valid string in the list, not a recommendation.
